Yadda Monday Night, May 3rd "Oil Spills, Earth Worms and Shakespeare!"

As the giant glob of toxic goo heads its way to our beaches we are all in a bit of shock. As we all try to help and cope with the situation, we must all keep a brave face and positive attitude. At least we should try.

Shelby Johnson will be on. Shelby not only brings the wine and has great hair, but she is always a delight to talk to. She took one of her boys out to Ft. Pickens on Sunday to help clean up the beach. We'll hear about her experience and more about what we all can do to help.

Monday's show will also include Kevin Kern, Assistant Theatre Prof at the University of West Florida. This brave soul is staring Pensacola's first Shakespeare Theatre. We are really getting uptown now. What many people don't know though is that Shakespeare speaks to all races, genders, and assorted demographics. He's got a fund raiser coming up on May 13th. Also, Carrie Stevenson, Coastal Sustainability Agent, for the University of Florida/ Escambia County Extension Office will be bringing earth worms for us to learn about. I imagine we will talk about the oil spill as well, but the earth worms will be given air time to demonstrate their uncanny ability to make our gardens healthy and beautiful.

What is "YaddaYadda"?

Concept: Live talk show developed by Cynthia Scheltema.
Co-hosts have included Mary Ann Patti, Michelle Ortiz-Miguez, Wendi Summers, DeeDee Ritchie and Linda "Son Shine" Moorer.

The show usually features Cynthia and friends attempting to take a lighter approach to talk television by exploring topics of interest that relate to their lives, interests and personal experiences. Each show features one or two guests and a small studio audience. Cynthia developed the show in 2003 because “The View” wasn’t accepting any applications at the time.

Sponsors: Sponsors ranging from large corporate organizations to local boutiques have supported the show for over 7 years. Sponsors enjoy increased name recognition and have the opportunity to periodically appear on the show as a guest.

Viewership: BLAB TV Viewership statistics are the same as those for Cox Cable (Ch. 6) and Mediacom viewership (Ch.38). Approximately 120m cable households receive BLAB Television in Northwest Florida.

A Note to Our Wonderful Guests:

Please arrive at the BLAB studio between 8:30 and 8:45pm at the BLAB studio located at 121 South Palafox. We may need you earlier if you have equipment to set up.

The parking lot and main entrance to the studio are both located at the rear of the building. The cross street is Intendencia, just South of the Saenger Theater.

Please do not wear green. This color keys out of our backdrop and will make you look like the invisible man (or woman).

Our studio is very small and but you are welcome to bring your personal fan club.

If you have a DVD or other materials you would like to show during your segment, please bring them by the studio no later than 10am the day of the show (attn: Suzy).

If you would like a copy of the show. DVD's are available and may be purchased for $10.
